1978 MICHIGAN. ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES AND SENT TO JAIL TO DEVELOP HIS STAND-UP COMEDY.

On 2 October 1978, Tim Allen Dick was arrested in Detroit for possession of a pound and a half of cocaine. He could have been sentenced to life in prison. He turned state's evidence and gave the names of at least 21 co-conspirators.He was sentenced to just 5 years.He was paroled after 2½ years. Arrested for drunk driving in 1997, after he nearly fell over backwards during a roadside sobriety check. A drunk driver killed his father when Allen was 11.
