SCOTT PETERSONARRESTED LOGONEW TRIAL DATE SET!

Sacramento, California. June 6,2008- Scott Peterson is set to begin trial again. This time in civil court. Peterson was found guilty in 2003 of mudering his wife Laci, and their unborn child, Connor.

Laci's Parents are seeking multimillions in a wrongful death suit filed in Stanislaus County, California. This afternoon, Superior Court Judge Roger Beauchesne set a trial date of July 8, 2008. The Judge made it things very clear. He said that even though Peterson is currently at San Quentin Prison on death row, his previous conviction "will not speak for themselves" in civil court. There is a possibility that Peterson may be found "not guilty" in his upcomming trial. Peterson's defense attorney presented a videotape showing the convicted murderer speaking from his cell at San Quentin. In it, Petterson maintains that he "is innocent".

Peterson was accused of dumping his wife's body on Christmas Eve in the San Francisco Bay in 2002. He claimed that Laci took their dog for a walk the day before, and that she never returned. On Christmas morning, the Peterson's dog was found sitting in front of their Modesto, Ca. home alone. A leash was still attached to it's collar.

A few months later, a fetus was found washed up on a bank near where Peterson claimed he had been fishing on Christmas Eve. Nearby, in the same part of the bay, the remains of a female body was also discovered. They were later determined to be that of Laci Peterson, and Connor.
